As Room 5 are light monitors for Boulcott School this year we decided to learn about electricity and how materials can conduct or insulate the flow. We chose different objects and put them into an electrical circuit to see if the electricity flowed to light the lamp. Then we made our observations and conclusions. It was fun learning!

Cross Country
Room 5 had 8 super stars running in the Central-zone cross country in week 6 - Josh C, Tommy, Owen, Flynn, Matthew, Josh K, Kate and Bronson. They all did exceptionally well, ka pai!
Three class members made it through to Inter-zone Cross Country which was held on Tuesday at a very wet Sladden Park. Congratulations to Kate Potts who came in 12th in Y4 girls, Owen Lochead 4th and Joshua Kennedy 5th in Y4 boys. A fantastic effort by them all.
Owen and Joshua K. will now go through to the regional cross country race on Tuesday 9th July in Week 10. Best of luck boys, keep training hard.
Basic Facts Skills
Room 5 is working incredibly hard to learn our multiplication and division facts this term. We need to have instant recall of 2, 5, and 10's but we are also hoping to learn 3x and 4x to help with fraction learning next term!
